Chaplain's Office
  1. The Chaplain's Office is dedicated to embody KKOTTONGNAE UNIVERSITY's founding principle which is rooted in the Catholic ethos (Faith, Hope & Love). The office is also actively involved in practicing evangelism. That is why we plan varied, effective missionary work. The office vigorously takes on multiple evangelical ministry opportunities such as Mass, homily, counselling, missionary activities and university churches.
  2. The prayer room (located in Room 413, Wisdom Building) is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

What is the Chaplain's Office in charge of?

  1. The office handles all the related work with Catholic teaching and Masses for students.
  2. It deals with religious activities and ceremonies, occurring on campus.
  3. It offers students an opportunity to have an individual conversation about their faith or questions in Christian teachings.
2) Office of Planning:

in charge of planning, promotion & budget management

  1. The Division of Planning is responsible for the following:
    • Building a short, and long-term development project
    • Establishment of an organization and reorganizing offices
    • University rules and regulations management
    • Analysis and evaluation of overall administration
    • Arrangement of each division's work
    • Corporate-related issues
    • Planning Committee & Advisory Committee on Regulation issues
    • Other issues inside the division
  2. The Division of Public Relations (PR) is responsible for the following:
    • Establishment of PR policy and strategies
    • Writing and distributing press releases
    • Responding to requests from local or overseas media
    • Collecting and analyzing statistical data
    • 'University Identity (UI)' implementation
  3. The Division of Budget Control is responsible for the following:
    • Execution and settlement of revenue and expenditure
    • Planning and operation of budget
    • Auditing the budget
    • Determination of payment from students
    • The Budget Advisory Committee issues
Office of Academic Affairs:

The Office of Student Affairs consists of the Division of Research Support, the Division of Student Affairs and the Division of Admissions.

  1. The Bureau of General Administration is responsible for the following:
    • Educational operation
    • Admission capacity management
    • Personnel affairs including professors
    • Revising school policy
    • Publishing a handbook
    • Domestic and international research
    • Meetings held in each committee (i.e. Administrative Committee)
  2. The Division of Educational Affairs is responsible for the following:
    • Planning for the academic administration
    • Writing academic calendars
    • Course enrollment
    • Keeping a record of student's attendance
    • Managing midterm and final exams
    • Determination of payment for instructors
    • Summer Session
    • Managing curriculum
    • Cultural activities
    • Running a committee for the educational process
    • Grade management
  3. The Division of Register is responsible for the following:
    • Managing school register
    • Registration
    • Leave of absence and returning
    • Change in academic records
    • Matters about academic warning, probation, dismissal and voluntary resignation
    • Selecting honor students
    • Register papers issuance
    • Academic Records
    • Managing statistics
    • Completion and Graduation
    • Certificate (Korean & English) issuance for current, graduated and dismissed students
    • Managing the stamp of the Dean of the Bureau of General Administration
    • Education reference
    • Issuing verification papers(i.e. necessary papers for a student visa)
  4. The Division of Admissions is responsible for the following:
    • Developing admissions policies
    • Administering the admissions process
    • Setting admissions criteria
    • Holding an admissions information session
    • Participating in Admission Fairs
    • Writing and distributing PR releases
    • Providing consultation on admission by running the Admissions Information Center
      The Admissions Information Center: is in charge of admissions affairs such as
      ⒜offering admissions information both online and offline,
      ⒝providing an application form and
      ⒞receiving the application
      and is also responsible for the announcement of admissions decisions as well as registration guidance for newly-admitted students.
  5. The Division of Student Affairs is responsible for the following:
    • Holding an orientation for freshmen
    • Giving advice on student activities on- and off-campus
    • Policies on rewards and disciplinary action for students
    • Guiding Students'publications
    • Issuing student identification cards
    • Managing students'personal records and other student data
    • Consulting regarding students' military affairs
    • Issuing papers regarding students
    • Other student guiding issues
Office of General Administration:

The Bureau of General Administration consists of six divisions: General Administration, Finance & Property, Facilities Purchase & Maintenance, Construction, Information Systems & Technology and Budget Control

  1. The Division of General Administration is responsible for the following.
    • Official document management
    • Management of religious rituals and ceremonies
    • Planning meetings
    • Public utility charges
    • Postal affairs
    • Personnel affairs including mobility, business travel and welfare
    • Employee training
  2. The Division of Finance & Property is responsible for:
    • Public property and assets
    • Guarding and cleaning facilities
    • Maintenance of facilities and buildings
    • Permitting building and equipment use
    • Landscape management
  3. The Division of Facilities Purchase & Maintenance is responsible for:
    • Facilities and equipment purchas
    • Overall contract management
    • Listing and maintenance of facilities and equipment
    • Purchasing office supplies
  4. The Division of Construction is responsible for:
    • Establishment of school buildings
    • Planning construction in the short- and long-term
    • Oversight of construction
    • Process for obtaining permit
    • Building and facilities maintenance
    • Disposal of waste matter
    • Energy management
    • Preparation for necessary inspections by authorities
    • Construction requests and design
    • Writing specifications
  5. The Division of Information Systems & Technology is responsible for:
    • Development and operation of the computing system
    • Introduction and management of administrative server
    • System security
    • Operation of software and hardware for education and administration
    • Management of PC rooms and language labs
    • Supporting educational and admissions affairs
    • Systematical sharing of educational affairs information on campus
    • Supporting the campus-wide network infrastructure
    • Computer education program
    • Web page management
  6. The Division of Budget Control is responsible for:
    • Planning budget
    • Balancing accounts through operation of budget
    • Management of funds (Saving deposit, securities, funds raised, retirement allowance, etc.)
    • Overall pay management (Pension deduction and pay-outs, health insurance deduction and pay-outs and taxes)
    • Determination of payment from students
    • Student loans
    • Auditing the budget
